When does my data plan start counting down?

Your plan activates the first time your SIM connects to a network in a covered country. Your validity period — the days you chose at checkout — begins counting from that connection moment, not from your purchase date. You can buy this top-up days or weeks ahead of your trip — the countdown only starts once you actually connect.

How long do I have to activate the plan after buying it?

You have 90 days from purchase to activate the plan. If you don't connect to a covered network within that window, the plan expires and can't be used.

What if I run out of data before my trip ends?

Top up again from this page, or browse other countries' top-ups if your trip continues elsewhere. If you still have data left on your current plan, the new one queues up and starts automatically when the current one ends. If you've already used everything, the new plan typically kicks in within a few minutes.

Does this plan include phone calls or text messages?

No — it's data-only. The SIM has no phone number assigned, and SMS isn't supported. For calls and messages, use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram, or any other app that works over data.

Can I use hotspot or tethering?

Yes. Share your connection with a laptop, tablet, or travel Wi-Fi router — no extra setup needed once the plan is active.

What network speeds can I expect in Australia?

4G LTE in cities and populated areas, with 3G as a fallback in remote regions. 5G is available where local networks support it. Your phone automatically connects to the fastest network in range.

What if I can't connect when I arrive?
